Help with Land Use Disputes Anywhere in Florida

Florida's system for regulating land use activities is complex.  It involves not only legal issues, but technical planning judgments and a good deal of politics and marketing.

I am available 24 hours a day to help my clients or referring attorneys with land use issues, including
  •   Fighting improper land use decisions or code enforcement actions in court or before state or local administrative agencies
  • Representing landowners or affected citizens in the development approval process to get better decisions
  • Assessing the land use policies and regulations that apply to particular parcels or neighborhoods before a conflict starts
  • Supporting the litigation or representation efforts of other attorneys

My law practice is supported by a broad background in planning, law and business.

  • Member of the Florida Bar since 1994
  • Assistant Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at Michigan State University
  • Senior Research Associate at the FAU/FIU Joint Center for Envt'l & Urban Problems
  • Adjunct Professor teaching Planning and Land Use Law at Florida State and Florida Atlantic Universities
  • Staff to ELMS III Committee and Jt Select Committee on Growth Management.
  • Associate Planner, Sarasota County
  • Marketing Executive with a history of successfully launching technology products and companies

I am licensed to practice in Florida, with an office in Sarasota, Florida.
