Session Results 1: Eminent Domain
The Legislature approved a proposed constitutional amendment that would require any authorization to use eminent domain to convey property to a private party to be authorized by a general law passed by a 3/5 majority. This seems an appropriate start to reform as opposed to some of the more restrictive provisions that were under consideration.
